Society Dog Show : Pluto Original Animation Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939).
"He's a very fine dog, sir, and he's smart!" Presented is a fantastic original animation drawing featuring Pluto from the acclaimed theatrical short Society Dog Show. The short was directed by Bill Roberts and animated by a stellar team including Shamus Culhane, Fred Moore, John Lounsbery, Les Clark, and Norm Ferguson. The drawing is rendered in graphite with color pencil highlights on 12-field, 5-peghole animation paper. The drawing exhibit typical age-related toning, edge wear, and light handling from production use.
The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity.
