About the artist: Callen Moses Chisha, popularly known as 2wice, is a Zambian visual artist, musician, and creative entrepreneur based in Lusaka. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, he has developed a distinctive Spontaneous Realism approach that combines realism, expressive colour, movement, and storytelling.
His art explores themes of identity, heritage, leadership, humanity, women and children, and the relationship between people and nature. His body of work includes the Wildlife Series, Women Series, Children Series, and Zambian Presidents Series, among others. Through his paintings, 2wice seeks to document and celebrate the Zambian experience while creating work that resonates with both local and international audiences.
He is the founder of Twice Art Gallery, where he promotes visual arts, exhibitions, art education, and opportunities for emerging creatives. Alongside visual art, he is an accomplished musician, using music as another platform for storytelling and cultural expression.
With a career spanning several years, 2wice continues to build a multidisciplinary creative legacy that connects art, music, culture, and community. His paintings are held in private collections worldwide, including the USA, Japan, China, India, Thailand, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Turkey, and the UAE.
