Description:
A powerful and intimate nude by Michel Pinel, this original print captures a young woman seated in an armchair, bathed in dramatic side light from a nearby window.
Her direct, calm gaze meets the viewer while one hand rests near her chin and the other on the arm of the chair. Strong geometric shadows cut across her body, creating a striking interplay of light and darkness that sculpts her form with exceptional intensity.

Artist’s biography:
Born in 1949 in southwestern France, Michel Pinel discovered photography in Milan with director Paul Casalini.
He began a successful career in fashion photography (ELLE, Marie Claire, etc.) and photo-reportage before devoting himself fully to his favourite mode of expression: artistic nudes. He produced prints of remarkable quality in his studio. His works have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections in Australia, Belgium, Spain, France, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Canada, Japan, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the United States.
