Description fournie par le vendeur
Original hand-drawn Looney Tunes toy concept artwork created in 1996 for the Sonrics Olympic Stackables promotional collectible series.
This single development sheet presents four separate designs featuring classic Warner Bros. characters:
Sylvester the Cat
Taz, the Tasmanian Devil
Porky Pig
Pepé Le Pew
Each character is depicted in a sporty pose as part of a proposed freestanding and interlocking collectible figure:
Sylvester balances on a curved supporting element while reaching towards a connecting peg.
Taz appears in a dynamic football-themed pose beside a ball-shaped component.
Porky Pig is shown weightlifting, accompanied by separate barbell and base elements.
Pepé Le Pew wears casual sportswear and is posed over a shaped base incorporating several connecting points.
Small cylindrical pegs, slots and corresponding supports are visible throughout the designs, illustrating how the individual figures were intended to stand independently or be combined with other pieces in the Stackables series.
The artwork is executed by hand in graphite on thin, slightly translucent layout or drafting paper. The central project heading, “Looney Tunes – Free Standing Stackables”, together with the four character names, is handwritten in blue pencil or ink and enclosed within ruled presentation boxes.
This sheet was produced during the design and development process for the 1996 Sonrics Olympic Stackables promotion. It provides a fascinating insight into the preliminary stage of creating licensed Looney Tunes merchandise, before the concepts were translated into three-dimensional promotional toys.
This is genuine original product-development artwork. It is not a print, reproduction, sericel or animation production drawing, and it was not used as an individual frame in a film or television episode.
