Raffinée chaise viennoise d’époque Jacob & Josef Kohn, réalisée en bois courbé à la vapeur et caractérisée par un élégant design de goût viennois entre la fin du XIXe et le début du XXe siècle.

La chaise présente un dossier haut et finement sculpté, avec des éléments décoratifs courbés qui donnent à la structure élégance et mouvement. Particulièrement intéressante est la selle circulaire décorée, ornée d’un motif ornemental en éventail/coquille en relief, élément de grand caractère esthétique.

La structure est complétée par des pattes élégamment recourbées et par un élément circulaire de raccord dans la partie inférieure. Le bois conserve une belle patine ancienne, avec des tonalités chaudes et naturelles.

Il y a des rayures, abrasions, petites imperfections et usure de la finition, ainsi que des variations naturelles de la patine. On voit aussi de petits trous compatibles avec une activité historique de vers à bois dans certaines parties du bois.

Elegant antique Jacob & Josef Kohn Viennese chair, made of steam-bent wood and characterized by a refined Viennese design dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.

The chair features a tall, finely shaped backrest with curved decorative elements that give the structure an elegant and distinctive appearance. Particularly attractive is the round decorated seat, featuring a raised fan/shell ornamental motif.

The structure is completed by gracefully curved legs and a circular lower connecting element. The wood retains a beautiful aged antique patina with warm natural tones.

An old Jacob & Josef Kohn, Wien paper label is preserved underneath the seat and represents an important identifying element of the manufacturer.

Condition

The chair is in good vintage condition considering its age, with normal signs of age and use.
