Splendide cadre antique en bois sculpté et doré, de remarquable présence décorative, caractérisé par une ornementation extrêmement riche en volutes, ramages, feuilles d’acanthe et motifs végétaux disposés sur les quatre côtés.

La structure présente un travail artisanal très élaboré, avec des éléments sculptés en fort relief qui créent un effet de profondeur suggestif. La décoration est particulièrement riche dans les coins et le long des côtés, tandis que sur les côtés supérieur et inférieur se développent des compositions symétriques de grandes volutes et motifs foliaires.

La surface conserve une dorure ancienne aux tons chauds et légèrement brunis, avec des zones plus lumineuses alternant avec des parties plus sombres et vieillies. ANTIQUE CARVED AND GILDED WOOD FRAME – SCROLLS AND ACANTHUS LEAVES

Beautiful antique carved and gilded wooden frame, featuring an exceptionally rich decorative composition of scrolls, volutes, acanthus leaves and vegetal motifs covering all four sides.

The frame is characterised by elaborate hand-carved decoration in strong relief, creating remarkable depth and movement. The upper and lower sections feature symmetrical compositions of large scrolling motifs, while the vertical sides are richly decorated with curling foliage and ornamental elements.

The surface retains an aged, warm golden finish, with brighter gilded areas alternating with darker and naturally aged sections. The frame shows signs of age including abrasions, small losses, imperfections and areas where the original gilding has worn away, giving the piece an authentic antique appearance and attractive patina.
