Porte-agrafe double à nœuds norico-pannonien romaine – Almgren 236 – probablement Garbsch A236a – Bronze – période impériale précoce

Très bien conservée, fibule norico-pannonienne double à nœuds romaine en bronze, classable dans le groupe Almgren 236. En raison de ses caractéristiques typologiques, la fibule est vraisemblablement proche de la variante précoce Garbsch A236a.

Caractéristiques: le bras robuste qui s’élargit vers la tête, les deux nœuds transverses nettement profilés et le pied allongé, en forme de cadre, traversé par plusieurs entretoises, ressortent. La zone de la tête est lisse et ne présente pas de crête médiane marquée.

À souligner: état de conservation largement complet. Le mécanisme à spirale ainsi que l’aiguille d’origine longue sont conservés.

L’une des fines entretoises du cadre- pied perforé est cassée environ au milieu et déviée vers le bas. L’entretoise elle-même est toutefois présente. L’état est bien visible sur les photos détaillées.

La surface présente une patine naturelle verte à verdâtre, avec des zones de corrosion brunes ou rougeâtres et des dépôts liés à l’âge.

État:
Très bon état général avec mécanisme à spirale et aiguille longue conservés. Une fine entretoise du cadre ouvert en cadre-noué est cassée au milieu et pliée dans sa partie inférieure, mais l’entretoise demeure entièrement présente. Patine liée à l’âge, corrosion et traces d’usage conformes aux photos.

Roman Noric-Pannonian Double-Knob Fibula – Almgren 236 – probably Garbsch A236a – Bronze – Early Imperial Period

Very well preserved Roman Noric-Pannonian double-knob fibula made of bronze, belonging to the Almgren 236 group. Based on its characteristic features, the fibula is most probably closely related to the early Garbsch A236a variant.

Characteristic features include the robust bow widening towards the head, the two distinctly profiled transverse knobs and the elongated openwork frame-shaped foot with several internal struts. The head is smoothly formed without a pronounced central ridge.

Particularly noteworthy is the largely complete state of preservation. The spring mechanism and the long original pin are preserved.

One of the fine internal struts of the openwork foot is broken approximately in the middle and bent in its lower section. The strut itself is still present. This can clearly be seen in the detailed photographs.

The surface shows a naturally developed green to dark-green patina with areas of brown and reddish corrosion and age-related deposits.

Condition:
Very good overall condition with the spring mechanism and long pin preserved. One of the fine internal struts of the openwork frame-shaped foot is broken in the middle and bent in its lower section, but the strut remains present. Age-related patina, corrosion and traces of wear as shown in the photographs. No modern restoration has been carried out by the present owner.
