This antique French clock, featuring white marble mounted with ormolu, . It embodies the elegance of the Louis XVI style, with classic columns wrapped in foliage and a crowning urn featuring handles and a floral finial. It has an enamel porcelain dial—decorated at the bottom with a draped element—and a pedestal adorned with a palmette frieze. The movement is of high quality and in excellent period condition; the pendulum is original.

The condition of the case is excellent; the ormolu is beautifully clean and bright, showing only minimal signs of age-related wear. The marble is also in very good condition, boasting fine color and polish. The dial remains in excellent condition as well.

They are crafted from white Carrara marble and ormolu (gilt bronze). The bases feature scrolling brackets and a floral band. A classic urn supports three branches formed by scrolling acanthus leaves.

The condition of the pieces is very good: the original gilding is clean and bright, with some signs of age-related wear.


This wonderfully decorative clock—interesting for its technical qualities—has retained its perfect authenticity and stands as a remarkable, well-preserved piece. The clock runs well, though it may require adjustment after shipping, as is generally the case with all clocks.
