Lange & Günther – Cafetière en argent allemand 800 – Lichtenstein-Callnberg, Saxe – 235 g
Elegant antique solid silver coffee pot by Lange & Günther of Lichtenstein-Callnberg, Saxony, dated to circa 1880 according to the accompanying documentation.
The pot has a refined tapering body raised on four spherical feet, with a short curved spout and an elegant scroll handle. The upper part is enriched with a decorative moulded border incorporating classical acanthus and scroll motifs.
The hinged domed lid is surmounted by a spherical finial. The restrained polished body contrasts attractively with the ornamental detailing around the upper section.
Executed in 800/1000 silver.
