Vintage Turkish Oushak Kilim – 250 x 178 cm – Brown Burgundy & Pink Floral Lattice Design – Handwoven

Description

A distinctive vintage Turkish Oushak kilim from Anatolia, featuring a richly detailed repeating floral and geometric composition.

Measuring 250 x 178 cm (approximately 8.2 x 5.8 ft), this traditional handwoven flatweave is dominated by a deep brown and burgundy field, highlighted with warm orange, soft pink, muted blue-grey, black and ivory details.

The entire field is arranged in a striking repeating diamond lattice pattern, with each compartment containing a stylized floral motif. The repetition creates a highly decorative rhythm while retaining the irregular character and individuality associated with traditional Anatolian weaving.

The warm, dark background gives the kilim considerable visual depth, while the orange lattice and pink-red floral details provide contrast. This makes the piece particularly suitable for rustic, eclectic, Mediterranean, Bohemian and traditional interiors, as well as interiors seeking a strong vintage textile as a focal point.

The slight variations in the individual motifs, weave and coloration are part of the authentic handmade character of the piece rather than the uniformity associated with machine-made textiles.
