Panneau publicitaire émaillé décoratif « Attention aux feux de forêt ». - Plaque émaillée - Émail, Acier

Une striking vintage japonais enameled sign with vivid red and orange colors and bold white lettering.

The sign reads “山火事注意,” meaning “Beware of forest fires,” and the lower part shows the words “森林 国営保険,” together with a simple graphic design suggesting mountains and forests. It was made as a warning sign for use in mountain or forest areas, where it reminded people to be careful about the risk of forest fires.

The strong contrast of the red background and white characters gives the sign a powerful visual presence, while the orange hills and green trees add a decorative quality. The words “森林国営保険” refer to a public insurance system connected with compensation for forest damage caused by disasters such as fires and typhoons. Since the system and its name have changed over time, signs with this older wording are now difficult to find.

This piece is recommended for collectors of Japanese vintage signs, enamel advertising signs, fire-prevention items, and industrial or public warning graphics. It can also be displayed as a decorative interior or shop item. As a vintage piece that was actually used in a forest setting, it has rust and damage in several areas. Please check the photos for the detailed condition.
