Description fournie par le vendeur

Æ (XX–XXI) – “Marilyn: Shadows of Eternity” (Triptych X3) – Hand-painted, signed, numbered, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (refs. 1635 1636 1637).

Æ’s monochrome triptych pays homage to Marilyn Monroe as both muse and myth — a timeless figure suspended between glamour and vulnerability. Through bold chiaroscuro contrasts and eroded mezzotint textures, the series transforms her cinematic aura into a haunting visual symphony. Each panel captures a different rhythm of light and emotion, reflecting the fleeting brilliance of fame and the eternal resonance of beauty.

◉ Total size: 37 x 66 cm (3 artworks, each 37 x 22 cm).
◉ Original ink-style artworks by artist Æ, part of a limited edition with only 10 unique variations.
◉ Hand-painted using spray paint and pastel crayons, each piece is hand-signed and numbered.
◉ Authenticated with a holographic seal of authenticity on the included certificate card.
◉ Created on acid-free Hahnemühle rice paper for Sumi-e (Japanese for “black ink”), ensuring archival quality.
◉ Limited and authorized edition, registered with an ID and listed in the artist’s official catalog.

Artist and designer Æ holds a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Design and Multimedia Technologies (Barcelona, 2004) and a Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies. Drawn to digital mediums from an early age, Æ has been creating and experimenting since the era of 1980s computer graphics, developing a unique aesthetic influenced by minimalism, conceptual art, and skateboard graphics. His works are featured in private collections across more than 30 countries, including The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Notably, his pieces are also part of public collections, such as the Oriental Art Collection at the Zaragoza Museum (2024), home to Spain’s most significant collection of Eastern art.

Æ’s artwork is defined by its minimalist style, employing a restrained palette and simple forms to convey profound emotions and ideas. His frequent use of stark, high-contrast imagery accentuates the interplay between light and darkness, hope and despair. This minimalist approach fosters an eerie, unsettling atmosphere that amplifies themes of isolation. Through this pared-down aesthetic, Æ achieves a powerful emotional impact with minimal imagery, compelling the viewer to confront the stark realities of a new world, rich with symbols, East Asian characters, and iconic imagery.

Artist was the subject of a review by respected exhibitions art curator Thierry Fournier (Artnoises).

“Collected AE (XX), it comes down to wanting, breaking, transgressing, an invisible border, to merging the civilizational DNA of the future and the past, looking down and in the same second, rocking! the work becomes a ticket, a simple ‘go!’ for an emotional teleportation that we live and see in ‘Black and white’! Æ2381 pushes you to jump into a void, in fact, populated with images, symbols, unexplored signs that propels us to a Real Timeless!”
— T. Fournier (Artnoises) ★★★★★
