Prestigious and monumental box , released in 1993 , only 150 copies, this one is number 031 written on a cloth tape and sewn at the back of the box . The number also unscribed on the colophon booklet with Fukuda's stamp.
Kazuhiko Fukuda supervized and directed this edition ; he wrote all the notes in the booklet , a complete explanation about each work and commentaries on each plate ( 18 pages pagined)
The Red book : about a precious scroll released at the beginning of Muromachi Era ( 1336-15732) , so the work is from the 14th century , this is a unique masterpiece and complete work of 12 scenes.
The stamp and the signing on the last plate is " Fujiwara no Mitsuniyu " Fukuda thinks that it's probably the son of Fujiwara Yukimitsu , the fondator of Tosa School, one of the most famous school of Shunga ( Korin Ogata and others)
The title given by Fukuda is " Suetsumuhana " This scroll inspirated a lot of painters after , it's a major work
You will note that the stamp is a royal stamp , his father was one of the official painter in the Imperial's court ( Lord Echizen )
The Yellow book : author Furuyama Moroshige , pupil of the master Moronobu , active in the 17th century, beginning of Edo Era. A major painter , title given by the author " Oborotsukiyo " , you will note that the real title has been lost and Moroshige gave it after.
Also a complete work of 12 scenes like the original scroll .
Each plate is 36,5 x 25,8 cm, the book , a leporello ( opened in accordion) Ohrion in Japanese langage, total opened 4 m 37 , the 2 lengths Gilty, the width with the brown fabric which is the binding
The 3 books are NM, opened one time.
The box , covered with a narutal linen , is with slights rust stains , outside and inside ( photos), also some on the cloth tape at the back
Stayed a rarity, The box is over 6 Kg ( total parcel will be over 7 Kg) ; for information, I have sent a similar parcel last week to USA, the cost is 142€ without Insurances. ( I send it with all protections and insurances included)
