A delightful little Belle Epoque spy mirror / eye makeup mirror on long solid silver handle, measuring circa 20,7cm in total length and weighing a gross 69g, the reticulated grip cast in neoclassical style with a cherub connector attaching the oval, beveled glass encased in silver and crowned with a ribbon. Stamped to the side with French .950 assay mark and maker´s mark of Emile Puiforcat, active in Paris from 1857-1897. The mark continued to be used by grandson Jean Puiforcat on certain classical pieces until 1945.
Estimated age: Circa 1880.
Condition: Overall very good, no significant damages or repairs, minor wear commensurate with age and use. Some ageing of the mirror, see pictures.
