DESCRIPTION
Historic and highly collectible original U.S. numbered pressing of The Beatles’ legendary “White Album”, issued in late 1968 by Apple/Capitol Records (catalog SWBO-101). This version features the embossed “The BEATLES” title on the front cover and a machine-stamped serial number “A2411929” in gray ink — typical for early Los Angeles pressings of the first production wave (1968–early 1969).
The “Stereo” mark is printed in the upper-right corner of the back cover, and the spine shows both “The BEATLES” and “Stereo SWBO-101”, using the thin serif font characteristic of first U.S. jackets.
This copy remains factory sealed in its original vintage shrink wrap, complete with an original 1960s retail price sticker ($4.65) — a rare survivor from the album’s initial retail distribution period.
