Unknown - Dalida & Alain Delon, 'Paroles, paroles...', 1973

original vintage photo, in good condition, handling marks, see photos for details. Dimensions: 24cm x 18 While some of actor Alain Delon's romances are widely known, others have been swept under the carpet. Such is the case of the love affair the actor had with Dalida. The two met because they lived on the same floor, in maid's rooms, at the start of their careers in the 1950s. Dalida wanted to break into singing, Alain Delon into film. The two helped each other out, then became friends, before falling for each other. In 1973, the singer and the actor got together for a duet on the song Paroles, Paroles, which became a cult hit. "Dalida immediately thought of Alain to sing the part, and he immediately accepted". The single was a hit in France and abroad, thanks in no small part to the chemistry of this iconic duet. Paroles, paroles... Their complicity was intact when they recorded a hit that swept the whole of France: "Paroles, Paroles", the adaptation of an Italian song that has since become a cult duet between the two stars. Dalida immediately thought of Alain to give her the line, and he immediately accepted. When he arrived at the Studio des Dames, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, she had already recorded her voice. "Delon sat down, took a glass of cognac, changed three words, asked for the lights to be turned off, and unrolled his text in two takes. When he sang "Que tu es belle, que tu es belle" in his cavernous voice, Dalida burst out laughing behind the studio glass... Their respective schedules prevented them from singing this song live on stage or on a television set. "Dali, she upsets me, because I loved this woman terribly, and I suffered so much when she left... And I would have liked to have been there to stop her leaving like that. But she had made up her mind, she didn't want to go back, she wanted to leave, she left very quickly. And I know why..." sent by la poste

Paroles, paroles...

Their complicity was intact when they recorded a hit that swept the whole of France: "Paroles, Paroles", the adaptation of an Italian song that has since become a cult duet between the two stars.
