Historical background In the 1930s, the world was undergoing a period of profound change: between traditional court culture and modern globalisation, the city became a melting pot of East and West. European influences shaped architecture, fashion – and accessories such as wristwatches. Timepieces were considered a symbol of progress and elegance. Case & Design The watch features a classic round case with elegant proportions, characteristic of the era. The brushed stainless steel case, with a 38 mm diameter, sits gracefully on the wrist. A domed hard glass crystal protects the dial and enhances its authentic vintage character. The case back is crafted from steel, a feature characteristic of watches from this period, enhancing their authenticity. Dial & Hands The clean, well-structured dial reflects the functional aesthetic of the 1930s. The blue hands shimmer subtly in the light, adding an elegant accent. The small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock is a typical detail of a time when precision was crafted by hand. Movement & Mechanics Inside, the watch is powered by the reliable Me-71 hand-wound movement, built on the proven architecture of the Peseux 7001 – a true classic in watchmaking history. Inspiriert von der kulturellen Blütezeit der 30ziger, verbindet sie feine Mechanik mit einem Hauch Geschichte. Historischer Hintergrund In den 1930er Jahren befand sich die Welt in einer Zeit des tiefgreifenden Wandels: Zwischen traditioneller Hofkultur und moderner Weltöffnung wurde die Stadt zu einem Schmelztiegel aus Ost und West. Europäische Einflüsse prägten Architektur, Mode – und auch Accessoires wie Armbanduhren. Zeitmesser galten als Symbol von Fortschritt und Eleganz. Bauform & Design Die Uhr präsentiert sich in klassischer Rundform mit feinen Proportionen, wie sie schon in jener Ära beliebt waren.
