A single manuscript page, in very good condition, written in Persian nasta’liq script, dating back to the 18th Century from the Shahnameh, The Persian 'Book of Kings', written by the poet Firdowsi, which covers the Persian Kings from mythical times to the fall of the Sasanid Empire in the mid C7th. The page is plain text, divided into 4 columns of 25 lines of script in fine nasta'liq black ink, separated by a decorative floral columns. A single decorative Chapter heading cuts across the central two columns, reducing these to 22 lines of script. The heading script is also nasta'liq, in red, within a gold cartouche and reads, 'I will not speak in Battle'. Blue floral decorations book end the header. The whole page is bordered by thick gold framing. Please note that shipping costs are not solely the cost of the postal delivery service itself.
