The Syrah "Colle al Fico" from the Maremma winery Petra is one of the company's finest crus and takes its name from the vineyard where the grapes are grown. After a long 18-month aging in barriques, it achieves a deep red color with luminous highlights, and the varietal's characteristic aromas, such as pepper and red berries, are enhanced. The palate is ample and has excellent nose-palate harmony with dense, persistent aromas. The tannic structure is very noticeable yet elegant, and the finish is long.
