Cartello pubblicitario smaltato [Yakamihime] vintage giapponese - Insegna pubblicitaria - Smalto

This is an enamel sign for "Yakamihime" sake, produced during the Showa period. The words "Yakamihime" are boldly written in the center against a bright yellow background. The bold green and red color scheme was designed to be clearly readable even from a distance, making it a striking landmark in front of a store. The brand name "Yakamihime" is derived from the name of a beautiful princess who appears in Japanese mythology. Known as the "White Rabbit of Inaba" in Izumo mythology, Yakamihime is a symbol of elegance and purity, and the sake bearing her name embodies the brewer's desire to convey a "taste that combines elegance and sincerity." Yakami Sake Brewery was beloved by local people, and was a familiar presence for a wide range of occasions, from everyday evening drinks to celebratory events. This sign, too, would have been displayed in front of liquor stores and general stores, making the name "Yakamihime" memorable to passersby. There are very few Yakamihime signs left today, and the design with a vibrant yellow background is especially rare, making this a highly sought-after piece. It retains the luster unique to enamel, bringing back the retro atmosphere of the shopping districts of the time. For collectors, it is a valuable document conveying the history of a brand with a mythical background, and also makes a striking piece to display as interior décor. Displayed in a restaurant or bar, it will fully demonstrate its appeal as a "Showa retro storyteller" that will spark conversation with visitors. [Size] 35.5x45.5cm [Condition] Good vintage condition. Although it shows signs of use, the letters and designs remain clearly visible. Please check the photos. Any taxes related to international shipping must be borne by the purchaser. Occasionally, customs or the delivery company in your country may contact you for customs clearance via phone or email. Kindly ensure you are available to respond. Failure to do so may result in the parcel being returned to me, incurring additional shipping fees for reshipment. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
