Epoca vichinga Bronzo Amuleto con serpenti accoppiati simbolismo norreno – protezione e equilibrio cosmico (Senza prezzo di riserva)
This striking Viking-style bronze amulet features a powerful composition of two stylised serpents, arranged symmetrically beneath a circular suspension loop. The design reflects a well-known symbolic language of Norse and early medieval Scandinavian art, where serpents were among the most meaningful and frequently used motifs.
In Viking belief, serpents embodied protection, transformation, and the cyclical nature of life. Their coiling forms were closely associated with cosmic balance, guarding thresholds between worlds and symbolising the eternal struggle between order and chaos. Paired serpents, in particular, are thought to represent duality and harmony, a visual expression of opposing forces held in equilibrium.
The amulet displays a strong geometric and flowing style, consistent with Northern European metalwork traditions. The surface shows a deep, aged patina, enhancing its authenticity and visual presence. The piece was clearly intended to be worn, serving not only as adornment but also as a personal talisman, offering symbolic protection to its owner.
Such serpent imagery appears widely across Viking-age decorative arts, from jewelry to stone carvings, making this amulet a compelling example of Norse symbolic expression and an evocative object for collectors of early medieval or Viking-inspired artifacts.
