A single cassiterite thumbnail that shows the typical twinning this locality is known for and also displays some gemminess, which is more apparent when backlit, its interior being a really pleasant light brown with yellow tints. This piece comes from the classic Portuguese deposit of Panasqueira, a mine developed to exploit a series of tabular veins of Sn–W mineralization that have produced some of the finest sulfide and fluorapatite specimens in the world and definitely from Europe.
