Intrinsically Disordered petals is the first collection in my series of frozen flower studies. I focus on the interaction of colour, texture, and change. The work is influenced by the behaviour of intrinsically disordered proteins (IDP). These forms hold function without fixed structure.
I photograph each flower at a stage between vitality and decay. The ice and the bloom create temporary shapes. Baroque is a study of beauty as it shifts, breaks apart, and disappears.
A2, photography printed on Giclée Canson Baryta Gloss. All artworks are printed with white border, limited edition of 20 of each photography. Unframed. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
