A Chinese silver pumpkin-shaped salt-cellar. China, late Qing dynasty, 19/20th century. Rare in such shape!
The round body modelled as pumpkin, walls decorated with finely engraved different flowers, a small round hinged-lid with round finial on top. Supported on three bat-shaped legs. Stamped with single-character maker's mark to the base.
Dimensions: diameter - c. 6 cm, height - c. 5 cm. Weight – 48 g.
Provenance: private collection, Hamburg, Germany.
Conditions report: Excellent condition for the age, few small dents and some use-related scratches only. Natural patina. Check pictures for details.
