A traditional black Raku tea bowl (Chawan) made by Tozan Ito III (1900–1970) during the Showa period (1926–1989).
This piece embodies the quiet elegance and wabi-sabi aesthetics of Raku ware, with a soft black glaze gently dusted with a faint stardust-like surface texture.

Dimensions: Height 9.4 cm × Diameter 10.5 cm
Condition: Good condition – minor age-related wear, including small scratches and light stains typical of Raku ware. No cracks, chips, or restoration. As with many traditional Raku tea bowls, the clay is slightly porous.
Please avoid leaving water inside for long periods, as Raku ware is not designed for prolonged soaking.
There is no crack, and the bowl was conditioned using a traditional starch-water method, so it is stable for normal use.
The signed wooden storage box and signed cloth both show age-related staining, minor scratches, and surface wear. Please check the photos carefully.
