A meticulous painter with a refined technique, his realistic and emotionally expressive style earned him comparisons to "Gōshun Matsumura"松村 呉春(1752~1811), extending into the "Taishō era"大正時代. This hanging scroll depicts萩 (hagi grass) and a pair of quails under a hazy full moon, evoking a charming autumn atmosphere.
