A marble bead talisman with winged lion from the ancient Mesopotamian culture.
First Millennium AD.
In good condition. Original, ancient, hand cutting, carving, boring and grinding. It has been cleaned but the nice ancient patina is preserved. Traces of use and age on its surface.
Purchased mid 90's Strasbourg on the local art market by Dr. Zelnik.
