Beautiful and exceptionally well-preserved Camarasaurus metatarsal (toe bone) from the famous Jurassic deposits of Wyoming, USA.
This impressive specimen measures 17 cm in length and is remarkably heavy and solid, showing excellent preservation of surface details and bone texture.
The Camarasaurus was a massive sauropod dinosaur that roamed North America approximately 150 million years ago.
Adults could reach lengths of up to 80 feet (24 meters) and weigh as much as 50 tons.
This bone would have supported part of the enormous foot structure that carried these gentle giants across the floodplains of the Late Jurassic.
A stunning display piece and a fine example of sauropod fossil material from the Morrison Formation — ideal for collectors of genuine dinosaur fossils.
