[Spedizione gratuita] Contenitore d'acqua in argilla colorata (Mizusashi) - Ceramica - 西田真也 Nishida Shinya (1955-) - Giappone - 1900-2000

Item Description: Nishida Shinya 西田真也(1955-) - Inlaid Colored Clay Water Container (Mizusashi) with Lid This elegant water container showcases the distinctive artistry of Nishida Shinya, a renowned ceramic artist based in Mie Prefecture. The piece exemplifies his mastery of the象嵌地彩 (zōgan deisai - inlay with colored clay) technique, combining precise geometric patterns with organic, flowing forms. The vessel features linear inlaid designs that create a striking contrast against the natural clay body. The straight, architectural lines of the inlay pattern harmonize beautifully with the soft, rounded silhouette of the container, demonstrating Nishida's exceptional ability to balance structure and fluidity. This interplay between the rigid geometric decoration and the gentle curves of the form creates a captivating visual tension that is the hallmark of his work. The piece comes with its original fitted wooden box (tomobako), protective cloth (tomogire), and pamphlet, all signed by the artist, ensuring its authenticity and provenance. The condition is nearly pristine, making this an exceptional example of contemporary Japanese ceramic art. This water container is versatile in its use - while traditionally intended for the tea ceremony, its modern aesthetic makes it equally suitable as a decorative object or small storage container for precious items. The piece embodies the essence of contemporary ceramics while respecting traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Size Height: 12.8 cm Diameter: 20.1 cm Condition Nearly mint condition with no damage, chips, or cracks. The piece shows minimal signs of handling and retains its original luster.
