Akai AP-M7 Turntable
The Akai AP-M7 is a “computer-controlled” direct-drive turntable introduced around 1984-1985.
It features a tangential (linear-tracking) tonearm mechanism — meaning the stylus moves in a straight line across the record rather than pivoting — helping to reduce tracking error and distortion as the record plays.
