- Breviary illuminated single leaf on vellum Italy initial with the fragment of a burnished gold and coloured initial - ca. 1460
Latin manuscript on parchment, 15th century, ca. 1460 A.D. Writing in dark brown and red ink, a three-line decorative initial in colours and burnished gold was cut out, you can only see rest of burnished gold and the coloured border, in former times a splendid illumination. Probably cut out an historiated intial in the 19th century or earlier, when it was fashion to do that. Further 3 filgree two-line-high initials in red and blue.
