At first sight I was not too keen on this small table cover, but by the time I styled it with matching blue glass ware and faience I liked it more and more with its 9 matching napkins measuring 44cm x 42cm. Also at first hand I was under the distinct impression that the blue design was machine embroidered, but i tend to differ now as every design at the four corners is differently embroidered, not only the compositions, but also the blue shades are differently situated. None of the 9 napkins is the same embroidered either, thus a clear sign that they appear to be hand embroidered. Yes it is not long at 1m34, but decking the table first with a dark blue table linen and then placing the cover on top makes sense. PLEASE NOTE; This piece came straight out of the armoire and has not seen the daylight for decennia and thus will need refreshing. The linen that we offer for sale is not new linen, unless specifically mentioned, it is second-hand and old linen. As such it may have already been washed, used or even worn. In spite of the great care we take during the preparation, small imperfections can and may escape us. They do not in any way call into question the unique and rare character of these wonderful pieces. I present you our Antique linen unwashed, as taken out of the armoire, unless otherwise described .
