Vaso colorato di piuma di pavone colorata ametista di Matsuyama Akiteru - Colore di piuma di pavone color ametista, Ceramica - Giappone - Periodo Shōwa (1926-1989)
Amethyst vase with peacock feather lid.
This piece is characterized by its beautiful amethyst color and crystal pattern.
This vase features striking turquoise crystals against a beautiful purple background.
The history of peacock ware dates back to 1947, when Matsuyama Gaei I (1916-1963), who traveled to mainland China after the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War, returned to Japan and built a kiln in Tominaga, Tatsuno Town, Hyogo Prefecture, where he began producing pottery under the name "Tatsuno ware."
The artist is Matsuyama Akiteru.
Today, there are only a few peacock ware artists left, making this an extremely rare piece.
The color and crystal spots are the result of kiln changes and are unique to each piece.
This is a special pattern that is one of a kind in the world.
