Extraordinary and very rare Roman bronze attachment os a ship prow. 1st Century B.C.-1st Century A.D. This piece appears to represent the prow of a Roman ship, possibly a decorative bronze appliqué, used on furniture, helmets or even as part of a military insignia. The shape of the prow, with its distinctive curvature and the detail of the animal-shaped figurehead, suggests a possible link with Roman warships, such as triremes or quinqueremes, which carried reinforced rams for naval combat.
