Biography Kawabe Kakyo (1844-1928) Son of Kawabe Kain, a Kyoto painter. His first name was Teruhiko, and he was also known as Hidetaro. He learned painting from his father and later studied under Tosa Mitsukiyo, Kano Eigaku, and Oda Kaisen. He worked at the Kyoto School of Painting. According to one theory, he died during the Taisho era (1912-1926).

Kawabe Kakyo (1844-1928)

Son of Kawabe Kain, a Kyoto painter.
His first name was Teruhiko, and he was also known as Hidetaro.
He learned painting from his father and later studied under Tosa Mitsukiyo, Kano Eigaku, and Oda Kaisen.
He worked at the Kyoto School of Painting.
According to one theory, he died during the Taisho era (1912-1926).
