A wine sustained by acidity, full of character, faithful to the vineyard that gave it its origin and with the nuances of each vintage. A wine of the vineyard. SERVING Serve at a temperature of 16ºC-18ºC. HISTORY Jorge Moreira is one of the great winemakers of the newer wine scene in Portugal. He is particularly well known for his work with Quinta de la Rosa where he received international recognition, and now at his own winery, Poeira, located in Provesende in the Pinhão Valley. Poeira means "dusty" and refers to the large billows of dust that dominate this part of Portugal in the hot, dry summer. Jorge farms 9 hectares of vines on steep slopes that rise 600m ASL from the valley below. 2.5 hectares are planted to vines that are over 60-years-old. Jorge farms organically and is a certified biodynamic producer. His winemaking philosophy centers on freshness and fruit, not tannin and oak. PLEASE NOTE: This is a recurring auction.
