European Frog Allestimento tassidermico a corpo intero - Rana temporaria - 5.5 cm - 12 cm - 12 cm

European Frog (Rana temporaria) – In excellent condition – No reserve. A wonderfully atmospheric natural-history piece: this European frog is displayed as if pausing on the damp meadow floor, its glossy preserved skin giving it a lifelike, almost sculptural presence. The warm brown-and-ochre tones and characteristic dorsal markings make it an attractive specimen in any cabinet of curiosities or educational setting. The common frog (Rana temporaria) is one of Europe’s most widespread amphibians, thriving in wet meadows, woodland edges and garden ponds. Known for their seasonal migrations to breeding ponds, these frogs play an essential ecological role as both predator and prey. Their varied colouration ranges from olive to reddish-brown—adaptations that help them blend into marshy habitats and leaf litter. Period & preparation Late 1970s – early 1980s. Professionally prepared in the Netherlands in the traditional manner used for amphibian displays of that era. The specimen is mounted on a textured habitat base with a clear label reading “KIKKER”. Condition In vintage but well-preserved condition with minor age-related wear, typical for amphibian taxidermy from this period. Please review the photos carefully for an accurate impression. Dimensions: approx. 5,5 x 12 x 12 cm Shipping Professional packaging and registered shipment. Ships the next working day.
