Beautiful brass gong from Java from the first half/mid 20th century.
The gong is decorated with Wayang figures. The top of the holder consists of Naga figures (supernatural creatures). Overall, the gong is adorned with floral patterns.
The gong also has the original percussion hammer. On the gong you can see where the percussion hammer has always been used. See the related pictures.
