Antiguo Ikat ceremonial de Timor – algodón tejido a mano con tintes naturales – mediados del siglo XX – Indonesia

Descripción:
Magnífica pieza textil tradicional de la isla de Timor, Indonesia, tejida completamente a mano en algodón con tintes naturales. Este tipo de ikat, conocido localmente como selimut, era utilizado tradicionalmente como paño envolvente ceremonial masculino.
El diseño presenta bandas verticales con motivos florales estilizados, en tonos naturales de añil, rojo óxido, negro y crema, logrados con pigmentos vegetales. El tramado es apretado y de alta calidad, con flecos torcidos originales en ambos extremos.
Una pieza auténtica, con uso ceremonial y gran fuerza estética, ideal para coleccionistas, interioristas o amantes del arte textil indonesio.
