Vintage tysk Cut-to-Clear kunstglassvase fra ILM Kristall i Ilmenau, Thüringen, datert til omkring 1950–1960, laget av glass med dobbeltlags overlay-design, munnblåst, håndskåret og håndmalt, med 24 karats gullkant og polykrome emaljeblomster, høyde ca. 21 cm, diameter 9 cm, i god stand med minimale aldersmerker.

Beautiful Vintage German Cut-to-Clear Art Glass Vase – ILM Kristall (Ilmenau, Thuringia, Germany)
Dated Mid-20th Century (Circa 1950s–1960s)
Double-layered overlay glass (Cased crystal) Mouth-blown, hand-cut, and hand-painted.
Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age and wear to the gilt details. No chips, cracks, or restorations. Common impression is great.
An exquisite example of Mid-Century German glass craftsmanship from the renowned ILM Kristall manufacture in Ilmenau. This elegant vase features a complex double-layer design (overlay glass) consisting of an inner rich colored dark green glass layer coated in an outer milky white opal casing.
The distinctive "windows" are precisely hand-cut using the classic "cut-to-clear" technique to reveal the vivid, luminous colored crystal underneath. The body is beautifully adorned with intricate, hand-painted polychrome enamel floral bouquets, showcasing exceptional attention to detail, complemented by delicate 24-karat gold-gilded rims and accents. A striking collector's piece that perfectly embodies the timeless European craftsmanship of Thuringian art glass.
