Jewellery Box – Marble, Silver-Plated Frame – Attributed to Romano Bianchi – Italy – ca. 1950s A rare and beautifully sculpted jewellery or presentation box in warm multicoloured marble, attributed to the Italian designer Romano Bianchi. Known for his refined use of stone and clean architectural lines, this piece shows all the hallmarks of his mid-century work. The box features a striking rectangular form with fluted carving along the sides and a polished top showcasing dramatic natural veining in amber, honey, umber and smoke-grey tones. The interior lid is framed in silver-plated metal, adding an elegant contrast to the weight of the stone. A luxurious and timeless collectible.
