The Church's Shannon is a masterful plain-toe derby that preserves the original essence of British shoemaking in its purest form. Named after a small village in the west of Ireland, this model took its rightful place of honor in the nomenclature of the Northampton manufactory in the early nineteen-seventies. As a so-called wholecut derby, its production requires a strict selection of hides, as the upper is cut from a single, undivided piece of leather. Over the decades, this model has thus become a true flagship of the manufactory.
Crafted on the famous 103 last, the shoe provides a supreme fit with balanced ergonomics. The deep black Polished Binder Calf is a traditional proprietary development of the house, which, through masterful finishing, not only develops a deep, rich luster but also lends the upper a supple weather resistance. The entire construction testifies to a durability solely designed to effortlessly withstand the tides of time. Thus, the simple beauty and honest substance of traditional craftsmanship are revealed in this model.

The first-class upper leather shows only very subtle, purely superficial scuffs and fine impressions. These minimal signs are due to previous storage, contact between the shoes, and the inserted shoe trees, representing typical, unavoidable storage marks. (See pictures)

In accordance with the overall condition, both the outsoles and the heels are in the unworn original condition of the manufactory.

As a special accessory, the pictured high-quality shoe trees made of aromatic cedar wood are included with the pair.
