In this work, the symbol is reinterpreted through the bond between mother and child. Two hands belonging to different generations reach for and hold one another, while the red thread, physically created through embroidery, wraps around their fingers, transforming an ancient legend into a representation of the maternal bond. The minimal, suspended pink background allows the gesture of the hands to emerge, while the combination of acrylic, coloured pencils and embroidered thread creates a dialogue between image and material. The thread is not merely depicted: it physically crosses the canvas, becoming a metaphor for a bond that accompanies, protects and connects through time.
