A distinctive vintage Sully Special mechanical wristwatch, featuring an attractive deep blue dial, applied Arabic numerals and a contrasting red central seconds hand. Condition Report
This vintage Sully Special is presented in Grade B condition, showing visible signs of age and normal use consistent with its vintage character.

The blue dial remains attractive and displays natural signs of ageing. The applied Arabic numerals and gold-tone hands retain a strong visual presence, while the red central seconds hand provides a distinctive contrast.

The chrome-plated case shows scratches, surface marks and age-related wear. The acrylic crystal also presents signs of normal use. The case back is well preserved and retains its clearly visible SULLY crest, reference 10060 and period inscriptions.

The textile strap is a later replacement and gives the watch a more casual, contemporary appearance.
Despite the historical “Waterprotected” marking on the case back, the watch has not been tested for water resistance and water resistance is not guaranteed.

This example combines several features that were actively promoted as marks of quality during the period: a 17-jewel mechanical movement, Incabloc shock protection and antimagnetic construction. Incabloc was developed to protect the delicate balance staff against shocks, helping mechanical wristwatches become more suitable for everyday wear.
Its deep blue dial gives the watch a particularly attractive period personality. Combined with the applied numerals, luminous accents and contrasting red seconds hand, the design moves away from the more conservative dress watches of earlier decades and anticipates the stronger colors and sportier aesthetic that became increasingly popular during the 1960s and 1970s.
