Opis od sprzedawcy
A striking and highly decorative vintage African wall mask, hand-carved from a single piece of solid wood.
This piece features a bold, expressive face with an elongated triangular chin and geometric features. Painted in deep reddish-brown and black tones, the mask is accented by fine, incised parallel line details (striations) on the forehead and cheeks, heavily inspired by the traditional tribal aesthetics of Central/East African cultures (such as Songye or Chokwe design).
• Material: Solid wood with rich red/brown and black pigments.
• Craftsmanship: Entirely hand-carved, showcasing beautiful organic textures and visible tool marks on both the front contours and the hollowed-out reverse side.
• Period: Late 20th century (produced as fine decorative ethnographic art / tourist export art).
• Condition: Good vintage condition with honest wear, light natural aging, and micro-scratches consistent with its age. (Please inspect the detailed close-up photographs to assess the exact condition and tool texture).
