According to the author, it is "a discovery of Europe, a dialogue between the core of Europe and my heart. The book is full of original black-and-white and color illustrations that are still full of “newness” and “surprise” even today. The book was designed by Kohei Sugiura (with the cooperation of Mitsuo Katsui), and is bound in “radio binding,” which was new at the time, so that the photographic illustrations can be enjoyed beautifully even when the pages are facing each other.
