Sicura - Ingen mindstepris - Automatic Two-Tone Cal. BFG 158 - Mænd - 1970-1979
Sicura is known as the brand that saved Breitling. In 1979, Ernest Schneider, then owner of Sicura, bought the rights to Breitling, which was in financial difficulties in the midst of the quartz crisis. Over time, Schneider phased out the Sicura brand and focused entirely on Breitling. By 1993, Montres Sicura AG had officially changed its name to Breitling AG.
The piece you see here has a rather large 38 x 42.8 mm case, a gold-plated, deep blue dial with golden patina and funky indexes, and even the original white hands in excellent condition.
Of course, it also has the iconic Sicura
vacuum caseback. The watch includes a new 20 mm brown leather strap.
Okay. The case has some minor marks on the side.
The dial has a lot of patina. The glass (acrylic) has some scratches that can be easily removed with Polywatch. See detailed photos for full condition and clarity.
Case size: 38 x 42.8 mm chrome plated case
with a thickness of 13.9 mm and a lug width of
20 mm.
Movement: Baumgartner (BFG) 158, Swiss automatic movement with 25 jewels. I don't know its service history, but everything is as it should be.
New brown leather strap.
