This watch has been independently restored and assembled from original Breitling components. The original case, bezel, dial and hands are genuine Breitling parts. The watch was originally designed to house the Breitling Calibre 17. As the original Calibre 17 movement was not available, the watch has been professionally assembled using a Swiss ETA 2824-2, fitted with an original Breitling signed rotor, preserving the correct visual and functional characteristics of the model. The original factory caseback was heavily damaged and no longer suitable for use. For this reason, a custom caseback was manufactured and fitted. The original Breitling Avenger design and layout were carefully recreated using laser engraving, closely following the original pattern. As part of this independent restoration and custom fitting process, the caseback is installed with controlled torque to ensure proper rotor clearance. When assembled as intended, the automatic winding system operates freely and quietly. Excessive tightening may affect rotor clearance and sound. The watch has been fully assembled, tested and is in proper working order. The watch is fitted with a high-quality OEM-style rubber strap, which is very comfortable on the wrist and well suited for daily wear. The watch is supplied with an original Breitling box. This is an independent restoration project and not a factory-assembled or manufacturer-serviced watch. While these parts are authentic, they were not originally fitted to this particular model or reference, which may affect collectability or eligibility for manufacturer service.
