The second and final exclusive and limited edition of Belgian Owl PX Cask Finish! Etienne Bouillon told us that this limited edition would consist of two different versions: The first version was finished for less than a month in First Fill Pedro Ximénez Spanish oak casks. This naturally altered the color and flavor of the whisky. This whisky is much darker in color and more intense in flavor. This new second version is finished for more than four months in the same casks, resulting in an even more intense flavor and much greater finesse. This 5-year-old Belgian Owl matured for 146 days in a Pedro Ximénez Spanish oak cask. It is a rich and complex Whisky with finesse, beautiful spiciness and a light touch of oak. Despite the lighter colour of the Whisky, the flavours of Pedro Ximénez, spices and Spanish oak are still clearly present and even more beautifully balanced while still retaining the fruity and floral character of the Belgian Owl. The aromas and flavours of the first 5-year maturation in first fill Bourbon casks, these are mainly vanilla, cinnamon and ginger.
