Napoleon III Jewellery Box with Classical Scene Relief, France, circa 1850–1900

Elegant antique jewellery box from the Napoleon III period, featuring finely detailed classical relief scenes on all sides. The box is made of metal with a warm aged patina and stands on small decorative feet. The lid is fitted with a beveled glass panel framed by gilt detailing, giving the piece a refined and luxurious appearance.

The relief decoration shows figures in 19th-century dress within architectural settings, a typical romantic and historical theme of the Napoleon III era. The craftsmanship and depth of the scenes make this a highly decorative and collectible object. The interior is lined with the original redish fabric.

Period: Napoleon III, circa 1850–1900
Origin: France
Material: Metal, gilt details, glass lid
Size: Please check sizing, not images.
Condition: Good antique condition for a 1850-1900 box, with age-related wear, patina, and signs of use consistent with its age. Check images for reference.

A beautiful decorative piece for collectors of French antiques, jewellery boxes, or 19th-century decorative arts.

Shipping:
Securely packaged with track and trace and insurance.

Note to US residents: due to extra processing costs of 150 euro plus the increase of tax tariffs on top of the shipping costs, Beau Brocante unfortunately had to raise the shipping costs to cover this. I am really sorry to all my much appreciated US customers. Since this is an auction platform, it's impossible to predict the outcome of the auction and we have to ensure covering costs.
